The beginnings of computer strip poker were modest due to the limited capabilities of personal computers at the time. Until the 1990s, computer versions of strip poker offered either photos of models or video footage in small windows, where barely visible models undressed with little connection to the current situation in the game.
This changed in 2002, when Torquemada Games introduced its game Video Strip Poker. It was the first to put emphasis on elements that had previously been either overlooked or difficult to implement for technical reasons. Players were offered a large screen in near-DVD quality, where opponents behaved almost like real people. The most important feature of Video Strip Poker was the interactivity of the gameplay – it wasn’t only about poker, but about the girls’ entire behavior during the game: their mood and flirting. The player was never sure what the opponent’s next move and her behavior would be.
The game gained huge popularity worldwide, confirming the validity and appeal of the innovations introduced. In 2006 and 2007, Video Strip Poker was modernized and, as Video Strip Poker Classic, it is still available today.
In 2006, Torquemada Games introduced another game from the Video Strip Poker family. Video Strip Poker Supreme offered players even better video quality and an even higher level of interactivity. Innovations weren’t forgotten either. The opponents stopped being silent and gained the ability to talk to players and comment on their decisions!
It’s no wonder, then, that Video Strip Poker also achieved enormous commercial success worldwide. In 2008, Torquemada Games surprised everyone once again. Based on the Video Strip Poker Supreme engine, it released the game Video Strip Poker Boys. For the first time in the history of computer versions of strip poker, you could play against men!
Another achievement by Torquemada Games is Video Strip Poker HD, released in 2013. Once again, the focus was successfully placed on increasing the level of interactivity in the gameplay and, most importantly, the game is played in Full HD quality. The appeal of Video Strip Poker HD is also undoubtedly enhanced by the option to play with opponents of all races from all over the world.
In a newer installment of the series, the company released an unusual version of this game titled Art Strip Poker. In this game, success is also rewarded with the gradual undressing of the selected opponent, but it happens in an exceptionally innovative way – the clothes were painted onto the girls’ bodies in several layers. The girls therefore play naked from the very beginning, although they appear to be fully clothed. The effect was achieved thanks to excellent reproduction of clothing using bodypainting techniques and a few visual video tricks.
In 2022, an online game platform was created. At https://strippoker.app you can have fun on most devices with a web browser. The game became available on most phones and tablets, including Apple devices (iPhone, iPad, Mac).
Currently, in 2026, the game not only remains active on the market, but is still developing dynamically. New virtual opponents regularly appear on the online platforms and PC, and further productions are systematically developed and made available to players. Special editions have also become a tradition – during Christmas, Easter, or Halloween, purchases include unique themed characters such as snow maidens, bunnies, or witches. At the same time, the company takes care of its legacy by remastering archival materials from earlier productions to Full HD and 4K quality, so that both new players and long-time fans can experience classic titles in a modern, polished form.
